The Estate is actively involved in the long term conservation and husbandry of the land and buildings that constitute the rural environment.
The Estate practices conservation agriculture in its own farming business as well as supporting Higher and Entry Level Stewardship Schemes, water management initiatives, low input farming trials, and long term woodland management.
The Estate also operates its own conservation scheme identifying suitable habitats that are then ring fenced and protected on the Estate. The Estate works with Shropshire Council, DEFRA, GWCT, CLA, and other organisations to ensure the Estate remains environmentally focussed and sustainable for future generations.
