Sustainable Honey Production
We package our honey using glass jars instead of plastic containers. Glass is fully recyclable, has a longer lifespan, and avoids the environmental burden of single-use plastics.
Reducing the amount of packaging used, and opting for simple, minimalist designs that use fewer materials, further assists in reducing waste.
Supporting sustainable practices that ensure the health of the bees. This involves planting bee friendly wild flower seeds, which not only provide food for the bees but also promotes biodiversity in the surrounding ecosystem. By maintaining natural habitats, beekeepers help support healthy bee populations.
We are responsible honey producers and our beekeepers harvest the honey in a way that ensures the bees are left enough honey for the colony to thive on through winter, avoiding over – harvesting that could harm the health of the bees.
By purchasing our honey, you are helping reduce the carbon footprint and the environmental impact. Sourcing local also supports regional biodiversity, as the bees collect nectar from local plants, which helps preserve the native flora.
By integrating these sustainable practices into both our production and packaging, the honey industry can help protect the environment, promote the health of bee populations, and ensure that future generations can continue to enjoy honey in an eco-friendly manner.
Allergy Information
Advice : Do not give honey to infants under 1 years old.
Raw honey may contain spores of bacteria that causes botulism. While this is generally not a concern for adults, it may be dangerous for infants as their digestive system is not mature enough to handle these spores.
Storage Instructions
Store in a cool, dry place.
Honey should be kept at room temperature, ideally between 10°C and 21°C. Storing it in a cool, dry cupboard or pantry is perfect. Avoid exposing honey to extreme cold or heat.
Avoid refridgeration – It will not make it unsafe to eat, but it can cause the honey to crystallise (solidfy) more quickly.
Prolonged exposure to direct sunlight or excessive heat can alter the colour and flavour of the honey. It can also degrade the enzymes and nutrients that the honey naturally contains. Storing it in a dark place helps preserve its natural properties.
